Degroof Petercam Asset Management (DPAM) is an independent active asset management firm part of a family owned group with its origins in 1871. DPAM has a strong focus on research with a proprietary in-house fundamental and quantitative analyst team, supporting the firm’s asset management activities. Context

DPAM’s fundamental equity franchise aims to consistently beat the market through high conviction stock picking. Based on a holistic approach that includes both bottom-up and top-down analysis the team believes it can exploit long- and short-term market inefficiencies. In this process PMs can rely on the input of DPAM’s buy side research team, DPAM’s macro-economic team, interactions with other fund managers, sell-side analysts and company contacts.

Your Position

The successful candidate will join the buy side equity research team. The job consists of the following:

  • Conduct strategic, fundamental and financial research on listed US technology companies
  • The analyst will have a sector focus and will become an expert in his or her domain
  • ESG considerations/analysis are fully integrated in the financial analysis
  • Present ideas to fund managers and other stakeholders
  • Actively participate in idea generation for the different funds

Your Profile

Ideally, we are looking for a colleague with the following profile:

  • Preferably some experience in the financial service industry (at least 2 years)
  • Knowledge of the Technology space or the US market
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Passion for stock markets, passion for strategic analyses, passion for what happens in the world
  • The ability to assimilate a large amount of information and translate it into clear investment ideas
  • High level of independence in his/her work
  • Solid academic credentials, we welcome candidates with non-financial degrees, however a Master’s degree in Economics / Finance is preferred
  • Willingness to become a CFA charter holder (a must for non-financial degree candidates)
  • Willingness to travel (at least 10% of the time)
  • Good communication skills (being fluent in English)
