Robert Half is currently recruiting a Commercial Controllerfor an international company active in the production of food and beverages.

Our client has multiple plants throughout Europe. The Port of Antwerp is the logistical heart of the company.

The main accountabilities for this job include:

  • Advice on procurement activities within the commercial department;
  • Monitor trading strategies and participate in P&L explanation;
  • Calculate and track for each region’s raw material P&L creation;
  • Evaluate and execute current systems and enhance current systems;
  • Monitor trading limits and proactively advise in favor or against trades;
  • Consolidate physical & financial exposure on a global scale;
  • Determine hedging solutions with procurement managers and sales managers for suppliers or customers;
  • Take the commercial team super key user role for the ERP deployment agenda;
  • Consolidate for futures market exposure in a global level (Euronext / CBOT etc…);
  • Leading related discussions with internal stakeholders (Axereal , treasury dpt) and external partners (brokers, clearer, exchanges).

In this position you will be reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

  • You have 3-5 years of proven experience in business intelligence and analysis in a procurement environment;
  • Knowledge of raw material trading is considered a strong plus;
  • You are fluent in English. Fluency in French, Dutch or Spanish are considered a plus;
  • You have excellent Microsoft Excel Skills. Wpriop and or Reuters are considered a plus;
  • You are a business minded, strategic thinker with vision for growth whilst being thorough & methodical;
  • You have strong communication skills.
