You like to work with Data and BI systems and take pride that your data enables the commercial teams to make the right decisions. You enjoy creating business intelligence (BI) by taking deep dives into the Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa Group data environment.

You drive Commercial Business Intelligence development within the Commercial Team of Brussels Airlines and with interfaces to the Lufthansa Group in Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich and Vienna. You apply best practices in data engineering and Business Intelligence reporting.

You are an advocate of a data-driven culture and an enabler of data-driven decision-making on commercial business challenges. You set up automated data streams, automated reporting and also provide ad-hoc data intelligence insights where needed. This provides new business insights as well as faster and more informed decision making. You have the technical skills to implement smaller-scale improvements directly on your own, but also collaborate efficiently in larger projects - coordinating with broader set of actors within Lufthansa Group. You look forward to take on projects in a team within the Lufthansa Group.

Tasks

Expand relevant business applications of the commercial Business Intelligence environment

You design, implement and maintain new commercial business intelligence solutions by integration of different information sources, This in alignment with other stakeholders at Brussels Airlines and the Lufthansa Group.

You ensure the automated data streams and reporting feeds.

You provide ad-hoc insights to various commercial stakeholders by leveraging power of commercial data warehouse. You communicate efficiently with different stakeholder such as IT, management reporting and business analysts, to understand business needs and address them with BI tools

Data operations and quality assurance

You ensure integrity of the Business Intelligence environment through proper data management and efficient data visualizations. This includes maintaining the alignment of commercial data to LHGs standards and definitions

Teamwork and continuous learning

You step in when additional market and performance analysis is needed.

To better understand the airline, you don’t shy away taking deep dives into topics such as “Flight Capacity Steering” to fully understand the Airline Business Model and the impact of commercial decisions on the revenue side of an Airline. Of course, we make sure to provide with you with the right trainings to be able to master the airline tool landscape.

Profile

• You like to work in a highly motivated team and to be an essential part of it by using your interpersonal & social skills


• You gained relevant professional experience in Business Intelligence as data analyst, data scientist, data engineer or related excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. More precisely:
  
  
  
  • Working knowledge of / Experience with
    
    
    
    • Database design and database querying languages (SQL/stored procedures)
    
    
    • Data warehousing technology (SQL Server, ETL frameworks, Teradata)
    
    
    • data visualization and reporting techniques (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire)
    
    
    • Programming knowledge (e.g. Visual Basic, Java, C++) is an asset
