As an F&B Supervisor you will be responsible for the daily course of business in our dynamic department (restaurant, sky lounge, bar & room service). You will be overseeing the service and quality level in all aforementioned outlets and motivate, train, coach & correct your team to achieve top notch results together. You will be responsible for your shift and the smoothly proceeding of its operations, and together with the other Supervisors you will support the Restaurant Manager, Banqueting Manager & F&B Manager where needed in their work.Your day to day
Operational • To provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Crowne Plaza Standards. • To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set. • To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub departments of the Food & Beverage Division as assigned. To perform all duties and tasks when rotated. • To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel. • To perform opening and closing procedures established for the Place of Work as assigned. • To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all Food & Beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and upsell alternatives. • To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times. • To monitor operating supplies and reduce spoilage and wastage. • To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests. General • To ensure that all employees report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times. And to ensure they maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department grooming standards. • To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the outlet and all other departments. • To attend and contribute to all staff meetings Departmental and Hotel trainings scheduled and other related activities. • To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager & Manager. • To respond to any changes in the restaurant function as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel. • To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control. • To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development. Ensure you encourage them to maintain good working relationships with their colleagues and all other departments. • To ensure that all employees provide a friendly courteous and professional service at all times. • To assist in the training of the employees ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency and in the most productive manner. To supervise the employees within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained. • To ensure that the Department’s Operational Budget is strictly adhered to and that all costs are strictly controlled and expenditure approved. • To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which do not distinctly differ in nature from the original assigned work, including reassignment to other areas to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities to meet business demands and guest service needs. • To attend training and meetings as and when required. • To conduct and/or contribute to regular departmental Communications Meetings. • To ensure rosters posted and weekly attendance records submitted on time. • To ensure that all employees are treated fairly and consistently as outlined in their terms and conditions of employment, local legislation, and company/hotel policies and procedures. • To assist in carrying out quarterly, bi-yearly, yearly inventory of operating equipment.What we need from you
• Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faceted tasked and working under pressure. • Excellent communication skills, a proactive problem solver. Attention to details is a must! • Positive with can do attitude and flexible approach – will manage people with humility.
