We are currently looking for a Credit Control Analyst based in Antwerp

Purpose
As a Credit Control Analyst, you are responsible for the on boarding process of new financially sound customers and are in control of the credit & collection processes, procedures, policies and systems in order to safeguard the collection of debts. You are in continuous contact with our sales departments, management and our credit insurance agencies in order to minimise potential credit risks for the company
In your credit analyst role you also support/participate or lead projects that help us transform into a mobility player and improve our internal processes. You propose improvements and implement them together with your colleagues from other departments. Together with the people around you, you help build the organization of tomorrow!

In the Credit Control Analyst role, you will have responsibilities like:

  • Assessment of the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analysing financial reports from financial information provider or direct via balance sheet/pl from the customer.
  • Closely liaise with sales department and customers, helping grow our business by maximizing credit space for the customer but minimize risk for the company by advising credit mitigation, obtaining maximal credit insurance and /or acceptable own risk.
  • Convince management and directors in biweekly credit committees of your credit analysis.
  • Make use of our internal credit analysis model and advise where we can improve to make our model even more robust.
  • Interact and negotiate with our credit insurance agencies in order to obtain maximal credit insurance for our customers.
  • Organize the daily work in order to ensure continuous and efficient operation with a high level of control and reduced and well-managed credit risks.
  • Follow up litigation cases with litigation agencies and business.
  • You will actively participate or take the lead in various projects. In general, you will be closely involved in our transformation into a mobility player. Furthermore, you will be involved in general improvement projects to improve our efficiency. These include Robotics and SAP-related improvements/upgrades and integration of credit agencies/credit information providers.
  • You will also have reporting and monitoring responsibilities like:
  • Daily reporting of customer ageing/exceeding and assess potential credit risks to prevent bad debts.
  • Monthly reporting and presentation of Key performance indicators, moreover advise on improved KPI’s.
  • Monthly and Quarterly financial reporting and control of reconciliation accounts.
  • Monitoring and reporting of credit insurance cost, study cost, claim ratio and advise how to minimize cost.

To execute the role in a proper way we are looking for someone with the following profile:

  • Master degree in Finance.
  • Proven experience in Credit Management within an international company
  • A good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and written.
  • SAP and MS Office hold no secrets for you.
  • You are a strong communicator/ negotiator and are able to convince sales and management of your analysis
  • You have an analytical mind and are able to detect risks.
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility.
  • You can deal with a high degree of complexity, changes and evolving business processes.
  • You have a proactive attitude and grasp challenges.
  • You have experience in participating or leading projects
