We are looking for a Technical Data Capabilities Lead who is a strong innovator, with great problem-solving skills and a passion for enabling companies to get more out of their data. You will be part of our Data Enablement team and the role will be preferably based in our Brussels (Anderlecht) office, Belgium. This is a hybrid position, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work (up to 60%).
About The Role
You will be responsible for providing advanced technical solutions to ensure effective data governance and management across UCB’s diverse domains. In this roles you will leverage your technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and innovative data management strategies. Your key responsibilities will include acting as a subject matter expert on data governance tools, evaluating and mastering various technology options, leading technology implementation projects, advising on data architecture and engineering operations, and identifying future needs to drive innovation.

What You’ll Do
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on the state-of-the-art data governance and data management tools, technologies and services
- Evaluate, compare, pilot, test and master technology options for lineage, quality, masking, cataloging, MDM...
- Lead projects to put in place the chosen technologies and define utilization patterns
- Advise on data architecture design, data engineering operations and integration between tools of different departments
- Collect future needs and requirements and prepare briefings and demos of opportunities for future innovation
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, (Bio)Engineering, or a related scientific fields
- 5 + years of experience in a context of data management, analytics platform management or technology consulting
- Experience in biopharma or other regulated industries are a plus
- You are able to take abstract problems, provide structure, define scenarios and propose solution to a variety of stakeholders
- You are not afraid to dive into the technology yourself and script, program, configure to gain a better understanding
- You have a great team spirit, high level of communication skills and you thrive in a fast paced environment
- Fluent in English
- Ready to travel when it is required
