This is a unique opportunity to join an international company as a Demand & Supply Planning Director EMEA

Role purpose:

The main objective of this position is to develop and execute long term strategies that directly influence long term impact on company growth, financial results, customer relationships, and internal relations, improve a demand & supply planning support organization that supports the various EMEA Aftermarket Strategies ensuring an adequate service and inventory level for all EMEA product lines within all EMEA Distribution Centres.

In addition, the Strategic Demand & Supply Planning Director will lead different projects to improve the service level and inventory targets by introducing operational, process and control efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop & lead all strategic initiatives related to demand and supply planning, forecasting, inventory management and other supply chain management analytics;
• Provide the critical reflex required to analyze and implement alternative strategic planning approaches to gain supply chain efficiencies;
• Utilize data analysis and reporting to support Supply Chain & Inventory planning strategies, cost reduction efforts, inventory reduction targets and compliance; improve demand forecast accuracy and fill rates. Reduce forecasting bias to accelerate sales growth and improve the customer’s experience.
• Introducing state of the art planning and supply chain management practices, constantly review systematic planning parameters and results,
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to improve the process for managing New Product Introductions through the creation of new procedures and other market analysis to improve demand forecast.
• Monitor slow moving and obsolete inventory. Work with marketing, sales and operations to set up ongoing processes and procedures to reduce and then minimize slow moving and obsolete inventory on a permanent basis.
• Monitor the impact of forecast error on inventory, demand forecast accuracy and fill rates such that business plans are realistic and achievable.
• Control, monitor and evaluate the KPI measurement and forecasting;
• Development and implementation of SIOP process, provide supporting system framework
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with all functions within the FM organization;

Required Skills:

• Bachelor/Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field
• min. 8 year in Demand - and Supply Management & strategic projects development & deployment
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of full supply chain circle;
• Mindset and attitude fostering continuous operational improvements and strive for excellence;
• Practical insights in business financial (balance sheets, P&L statements, investment analysis …)
• Work experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Thorough knowledge and work experience with SAP.
• 10+ year experience in various supply chain fields is a plus
