Mustad is looking for a Chief Operating Officer

Founded in 1948, Mustad Belgium is the subsidiary of the family-owned industrial group Mustad, created in 1832 in Norway and currently owned by Christian Mustad and his two sons Eduardo and Clarin (7th generation).

Its activity is exclusively industrial and its expertise has developed in the machining of precision mechanical parts in series.

The quality of its products and its service rate have built its reputation.
Its growth is supported by exports to Europe and the United States.

Mustad occupies 73 people in Eupen located 20 km from Liège.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization.

Your primary goal will be to increase our organization’s productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will advise the CEO on key operational insights as well as provide coaching to employees.

True right hand of the C.E.O., you will gradually take charge with the help of the team in place:
- Production,
- Maintenance,
- Quality,
- Logistics,
- Purchases,
- Quality assurance (ISO9001:2015)

You are a civil or industrial engineer with strong technical skills in mechanics, the candidate must be able to unify his team around the company’s projects and values.

Knowledge of languages is necessary. Ideally, German and/or at least English are essential.

Ensuring security is your top priority on which you will not allow any compromise.

Quality and teamwork are also part of the way you work every day.

Responsibilities
- Produce annual operation forecasting report and strategy
- Oversee and evaluate day-to-day operations
- Identify new market opportunities to accelerate growth
- Present operational strategy recommendations to the CEO
Qualifications
- 10 - 15 years’ of executive experience
- Strategic planning and business development experience
- Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Natural leadership combining authority and concern for the satisfaction of your team
- An ability to stimulate the development of robust and innovative production processes
- Computer knowledge (ERP, Excel) is imperative. An experience on software such as Crystal Report or Power Bi is a plus
- Listening and negotiating skills are essential
- A strong desire to secure the future of the company and its results.
