We are a leading organization in the nicotine industry, seeking a highly experienced and accomplished professional to fill the position of Government Affairs Director for Europe. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in government relations within the nicotine industry.

Responsibilities

  • Research and monitor government activities within the industry that could affect the organization’s business and clients.
  • Work with senior management and leadership for strategic planning to address potential regulatory activities and risks related to the business and industry.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with members of local and national government entities and agencies.
  • Engage with trade associations and industry committees.
  • Collaborate with industry advocates to establish areas of common interest.
  • Represent the organization by testifying before government committees.
  • Keep abreast of legislative and public policy changes that affect company operations.
  • Engage in activities that contribute to the business’s success.


Requirements:

  • Willing to work in Germany
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Government Relations-related position.
  • Must have GA/GR experience in Germany.
  • Have a background in the regulatory affairs of the Tobacco or Nicotine industry.
  • EU level lobbying experience.
  • Germany speaking ability is a must.
