With your talent and energy paired with our vision and technical leadership, the most fulfilling work of your career is waiting for you at ST Engineering iDirect…the sky is truly the limit!Within our European entity, we are seeking an exceptionally bright, multitasking and self-motivated individual to support the organization as a Security Officer.As a Security Officer (SO), you play a vital role in our organization’s ability to meet the security requirements of government contracts on EU, national or NATO levels. You are the official point of contact with the government services responsible for national security and within the company internally for all security matters related to facility security and clearances. The Security Officer has two main tasks: firstly, ensuring compliance with the security rules within the company or administration and managing the security clearances of employees.Responsibilities- Maintaining, upgrading or reactivating your organization security clearance
- Ensure that employees are correctly implementing the security rules concerning classified information.
- Briefing and training of employees concerning security clearances, secure room and security policy
- Report any infringements against rules to the executive management and the national security authority
- Submit the requests for security clearances of employees to the NSA and inform the employees once a decision on granting of security clearances has been taken by the NSA
- Reporting any changes that are relevant to the status of employees holding a security clearance
- Organize and report visits in the context of classified contracts with access to classified information
- Organize and report the (international) transport of classified documents with a completed transport plan
- Help build and maintain a secure room facility as well as its physical security and ICT infrastructure
- Define and lead the implementation of the secure facility management instructions, and establish appropriate monitoring processes, in accordance with the risk management process
- Refine, update and lead the implementation of iDirect’s security policy linked to the secure facility, considering existing policies and procedures in place for the following layers: personnel security, physical security, security of information, industrial security, exchange of information with third states or international organisations;
- Oversee classification / declassification of information between security domains, following appropriate policies
- Interface with HR, IT, facility, and program management departments to define and implement security policy
- a valid Personnel Security Clearance Certificate (SECRET level) or eligible to obtain a Security Clearance Certificate in Belgium
- is located near the Belgian HQ in Sint-Niklaas
- a consistent track record of successful project delivery in a military or civilian organisation handling classified and unclassified information on a daily basis;
- a minimum of 5 years of experience in Secure facilities, in roles of growing responsibility.
- a deep understanding of the role of Security policy in large organisations;
- a good understanding of IT systems architectures, physical security, security implications, classified systems accreditation process;
- a very good knowledge of written and spoken English, Dutch/French
- excellent people networking skills, capable of identifying and establishing successful relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers;
- proven ability to establish effective relations at CxO level with senior decision-makers, from both civilian and military environments;
- excellent communication and presentational skills, both written and oral;
- ability to work independently and collaboratively;
