Finance Manager - Zaventem

Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Finance Managerfor a permanent position based in Zaventem.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the automotive sector.

As Finance Manageryou will be responsible for:

Finance:

• Overall responsibility for Finance operations;
• Perform financial planning and analysis of financial risks;
• Responsible for analysis and commentary in all financial matters to the Board of Directors;
• To prepare the monthly financials data for senior managers, including variance analysis to budget and latest forecasts, new business written, margin calculations and details of current provision levels;
• Develop budgets and forecasts with the support of other departments;
• Manage the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of general ledger account balances to source systems. Take responsibility for the accurate and timely submission of the monthly General Ledger figures and Key Performance Indicators using Essbase;
• Participate in the development of new products or changes, ensuring compliance with laws and internal and external regulations;
• Control of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages for submission to Parent Company;
• Preparation of annual consolidated statutory reports and accounts. Liaison with external auditors;
• Oversee the preparation of Corporation Tax and VAT computations, including analysis required by external advisors;
• Oversee the Accounts Payable/Receivable/Payroll Operation function;
• Recommend and control changes and enhancements to the SAP accounting ledgers and to provide support to other SAP users;
• Recommend and improve internal controls within the financial accounting area;
• Responsible for ensuring that the financial reporting of the company;
• In collaboration with the Chief Accountant, preparation and submission of all regulatory reporting (under IFRS) to the appropriate authorities and to relevant associations;
• Performing other ad-hoc investigations, financial analyses and special projects as senior management may require from time to time;
• Lead and direct the pricing strategy in retail, national and dealer plans, balancing sales volume, budgeted margin and profitability;
• Coordinate treasury operations with EAR treasury function.

Risk:

• Determine operational risk strategies for presentation to CEO appropriate, to be implemented thereafter;
• Contribute to a wider risk management strategies and projects, through active participation in these areas as required;
• Drive operational improvements through operational risk functions.
• Management of external supplier relationships - Credit Reference Agencies, software suppliers and service providers;
• Maintenance of service levels in credit decisions and new business processing and acquisition;
• Any other appropriate duties as required by line manager.

The required profile for the Finance Managerposition:

• Accuracy, reliability and ability to meet agreed schedules and deadlines with regard to the preparation and submission of financial reports and packages;
• Development of good relationships with key staff in head office and branches;
• Ability to adapt within what will be a rapidly changing environment;
• Readiness to take responsibility, demonstrate initiative and contribute both positively and creatively in this role;
• Ability to interact with other areas such as planning and treasury so as to ensure that the finance function is able to support changes to the company’s business.
