The Head Finance, Report and Accounting Belgium will lead the execution of regional / global strategies for own part of the organization & manage and ensure the development of a team of experienced FRA (Finance, Report and Accounting) professionals. And you will ensure the integrity, viability and interoperability of country financial reporting processes and systems, including tax, inventory, corporate-control, payment and purchasing data

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle tax, compliance and audit reporting processes, provide analysis of financial information (monthly, quarterly and annual data) and ensure provision of necessary data to internal and external authorities.
  • Lead the budgeting process for the area of responsibility.
  • Manage the country internal financial controls; ensures appropriate compliance and usage by performing regular compliance tests and audits.
  • Provide timely statutory and country reporting information to internal and external partners, including regional finance officers.
  • Lead the implementation of risk management processes and ensure existence and use of adequate risk management tools.
  • Handle the correct and timely implementation of financial control processes and policies and ensure adherence thereof.
  • Measures and manages the workforce to cultivate a customer service focus culture
  • Builds and strengthens the capabilities of the team by identifying, deploying, developing and supervising talent within the function
  • Provides leadership, training and development to ensure unified collaboration and alignment with Sandoz Values and Behaviors
  • Primary point of contact for FRA matters including delivery of service levels and key performance indicators (KPI’s) as defined by FRA process
  • Ensure review of significant contracts for appropriate financial terms, technical accounting conclusions, and function alignment Lead month end close activities including the analysis, review, and validation of financial documents, to include conducting cross-function analysis meetings with key stakeholders to review financial performance and balance sheet details
  • Drive conclusions on sophisticated accounting issues

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance CPA or Chartered Accountant + Advanced Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Fluent in English with additional Language (Preferably Dutch)
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ accounting experience, preferably in Big 4 public accounting, healthcare industry or large corporation with shared service concept
  • Proven ability to apply IFRS accounting practices
  • Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting, auditing, and financial process engineering, with record of strong control focus and driving / delivering change initiatives
  • Inspiring leader on complex accounting topics (Revenue, inventory, divestitures, and acquisitions) and in-depth knowledge finance processes and infrastructure to provide improvement
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Enterprise systems knowledge (SAP)
