EMEA Recruitment is pleased to working with our global client, Sony Music Entertainment. We are supporting them in their search for a Financial Accountant, located in Brussels.

As Financial Accountant, you will be part of the Benelux Finance team and report to the Finance Manager Benelux.

Additionally, you will have a central role within Sony Music Entertainment and collaborate closely with other departments, including internationally.

The successful candidate will have a passion for finance, be analytically inclined, have a love for music, and is able to look beyond just the numbers.

Key responsibilities:

• Work accurately and follow deadlines
• Provide suggestions for improvement when necessary - offer solutions to our important stakeholders
• Responsible for the accounting within the Benelux region.
• Invoice processing and banking
• Work closely with a Shared Service Center and communicate effectively
• Ensuring necessary controls and make any necessary corrections.
• Responsible for month-end closing, VAT returns, intrastat returns, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

Experience required:

• Excellent team player and strong communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Eager to learn
• Has the ability to communicate at different levels
• A finance or Accounting qualification
• Good knowledge of Excel, and any knowledge of SAP is an added advantage
• Fluent English and Dutch
