Job Overview and Responsibilities
The duties include securing, optimizing and improving the company’s compliance program in line with best practice in the compliance and ethics field, leading, managing and reporting on internal investigations for the group at global level , planning and implementing remedial actions in response to investigations, and securing frequent compliance training to the organization and key external stakeholders - all in close coordination with the Group General Counsel and the other key stakeholders of the company. Further duties include collaborating on developing company policies and procedures and serving on various internal global committees. Developing an environment where people can trust our transparent compliance processes which is part of our ethical commitment. The responsibility of the CCO includes advising the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors on relevant needs and requirements as well as the Security & Ethics relevant committee.
The CCO reports to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and from a management point of view to the Group General Counsel. His team comprises a dedicated compliance officer for North America, Latin America, EMEA, and Asia, supported by
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Secure an ethics and compliance culture throughout the company
- Manage a global team, building engagement, trust and collaboration
- Identify, upstate, mitigate and monitor the Group’s ethical and compliance risks.
- Develop, implement and manage an effective legal ethical and compliance program.
- Design or redesign accordingly the Code of business integrity and implementation of it around the world.
- Embeds the Group’s culture of ethics and compliance into meaningful local strategy.
- Develop and review company policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise management on the company’s compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.
- Analyze and implement all applicable laws pertaining to business operations, and directly address various compliance issues.
- Provide support and expertise to answer management and GBU needs.
- Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations, investigate accordingly
- Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.
- Carry out periodic compliance review / risk assessments of the ethical and compliance program to ensure policies and procedures are being followed and make appropriate changes and improvements if required.
- Provide guidance on the effective response to detected problems and propose recommendations for corrective action as appropriate.
- Recommend the initiation of investigative procedures in response to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and the Code of Business Integrity.
- Oversees investigations with the Group General Counsel and acts as liaison with governments.
- Liaise with legal and regulatory bodies on compliance related issues.
- Maintains positive relationships with the authorities.
- Provides advice & arbitration with Group General Counsel on compliance issues when needed.
- Assess company operations to determine compliance risk.
- Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.
- Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.
- Remains current on regulatory news impacting business and provide regulatory watch to management and GBU’s

Education and Experience
- Law Degree and/or Master’s degree in ethics and compliance or equivalent with at least 10 years’ experience in corporate compliance related roles, either as a compliance officer or as an attorney
- Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.
- Good knowledge of laws and regulations affecting business operations
- Executive level oral and written communication.
- Highly-analytical and problem solving with strong attention to detail.
- International experience with a network of professionals to secure best practice
