What does this job entail?

As a Data Protection Officer, you play an importantrole in that.

Together with your colleagues in the Compliance Data Protection team, it will be your goal to be a frontrunner in the field of data protection. Your focus? A sound data protection approach and effective steering on a group level.

What do we expect from you?

  • You supervise that data protection is sufficiently covered in all our local entities.
  • You support local compliance officers.
  • You acquire a good overview of data protection implementation throughout KBC Group.
  • You enhance groupwide reporting related to data protection monitoring and set up new reporting.
  • You make sure that everyone is alignedon standards.
  • You participate in strategic data projects.
  • You will be involved in all different types of projects and initiatives that the compliance data protection team works on.

Your key strengths?

  • You have a thorough knowledge of GDPR and experience with data & privacy protection, ideally a minimum of 5 years.
  • You have a masters degree, e.g. in law, economy or IT.
  • You are interested in digitization and big data.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English and in Dutch.
  • You communicate assertively and know how to convince others in a diplomatic manner.
  • You are able to unite people and lead them towards common goals.
  • You have a pragmatic approach to challenges and are skilled in setting up operationally efficient processes.
  • No problem for you to work independently. At the same time, you enjoy working together with others to achieve goals.
