Your role
- You are responsible for performing research, identifying and selecting suitable targets, conducting feasibility studies and for developing business case scenarios in cooperation with the Corporate Strategy team
- You take up a senior role with high degree of autonomy to manage the deal execution process from deal origination until transaction signing & closing, including significant role in hand over to integration team
- You report to the VP – Head of M&A with direct exposure to and working closely with Executive Committee members at Group and BU levels
- You conduct and train M&A and Corporate Strategy team members in technical valuation analysis, including cost of capital calculations, discounted cash flow analysis, valuation multiples of comparable companies and return analyses
- You contribute to updating and refining the M&A policy and guidelines and developing M&A tools
- You coordinate across functions to ensure transaction activity is aligned with Strategy, and is in compliance with corporate/legal governance
- You lead, manage and mentor due diligence project teams comprised of other senior colleagues from across the business and of external advisors through the deal execution process
- You build and maintain relationships with external advisors and serve as a key point of contact for deal intake from both internal and external sources
- You have 7-10 years of experience of which at least 5 years of M&A practice as part of an M&A advisory team, within a top tier investment bank or within a M&A specialized firm. Ideally followed by several years in a Corporate M&A environment on a global level. Involvement into Corporate Venturing activities is a plus
- You have an excellent academic background, with MBA strongly preferred
- You have a proven track record of high deal flow exposure and a significant deal list of successfully executed transactions of various sizes and in different geographies
- You show demonstrable strategic acumen, commercial & operational awareness along with strong negotiation/influencing skills at Exec level
- You have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with previous experience leading and managing direct reports, cross-functional teams and external advisory support
- You are a commercially astute self-starter, with the ability to assume significant responsibility quickly
- You are highly resilient and comfortable in rapidly changing environments
- You are adept at stakeholder management and managing multiple priorities and projects
- You bring exceptional analytical and numerical skills
