Job Description

In partnership with the local embedded HR teams, regional Centers of Excellence and shared service center, responsible for all HR outcomes including people experience, talent management, talent acquisition, organization effectiveness, learning & development, total rewards, labor and employee relations, planning and insights. Trusted member of the CSEE HR team and local leadership teams, sets the HR agenda and directs its local deployment, deep understanding of the function, external dynamics & trends, and customer needs.

Contributions:

  • As the HR Partner (HRP) you will be responsible for delivering specialized HR support to employees of all levels in Belgium and Netherlands. You will oversee all human resources (HR) related activities and coordination of HR programs for your client group. Given the complexities of different countries supported, these activities will many times involve coordination of varying HR activities and practices across the countries. You will partner with managers and employees to promote team and individual effectiveness. You will role model Takeda’s culture and values while focusing on people experience and be part of the local leadership teams in Belgium and The Netherlands
  • You will work with employees and HR colleagues to develop and implement CSEE People goals and tools that correspond with the organizational HR strategy. You will guide appropriate change in the areas of organization and leadership development, performance management, compensation, employee development, reward and recognition systems, career path, job analysis and descriptions, compliance, and employee relations. You will also partner with CSEE/EUCAN HR to support tasks and other local HR functions to identify and deliver projects to align with our goals and to address Takeda employee needs. You are process-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, are not daunted by new challenges, and is able to work independently.

Accountabilities

  • Define, models, and reinforce Takeda’s culture by ensuring that HR practices are aligned with organizational goals
  • Identify and implement appropriate human resources strategy across countries
  • Understand policies, procedures and offerings for the countries and coordinates effectively with the shared service center (people solutions), People Advisory Group (PAG9 and the COE’s to appropriately and consistently administer policies and practices
  • Advise client groups on organizational and human resource issues (i.e., organizational effectiveness, change management, performance management, compensation) . In partnership with the management team, proactively identifies needs and develops and implements appropriate approaches, processes and tools. Collaborates with the Takeda People Advisory Group (PAG) to ensure compliance with local employment law and practices
  • Be part of the leadership teams in the countries
  • Assist in managing the local workscouncils in driving change and be a partner for any WC related items
  • Partner with leaders to identify and address leadership development needs
  • Coach managers to enhance their impact on employees to address organizational needs
  • Provide HR solutions to address important business capabilities
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to review and approve offers and to ensure recruiting and hiring strategies are met
  • Periodically analyze HR metrics (turnover, hiring, promotion. to identify trends and implement any preventative actions)
  • Periodically review data in HRIS system to ensure accuracy
  • Complete data analysis of employee survey results and partners with clients to identify and address areas of focus based on the feedback
  • Manage cyclical global talent management processes such as succession/talent planning, performance management and compensation
  • Partner with Finance on headcount and budgeting/financial planning related to FTEs
  • Partner with Communications on employee- and culture-focused emails
  • Navigate HR operating model, driving employees to appropriate resources or points of contact - including self-service when practical - and collaborating across all areas of HR
  • Work alongside Compensation to manage Total Rewards processes for client groups, including job descriptions, levelling, promotions, offers, mobility, annual performance & reward calibration. Ensure annual compensation planning is completed within budgetary guidelines.
  • In partnership with Regional People Advisory Group (PAG) - Employee Relations (ER) specialists - (where country PAG exists), supports employees and managers on ER matters. This includes conflict resolution, individual performance plans, investigations and general counselling. Mitigate risk for company, ensure objectivity, consistency, and compliance
  • Engage in collaborative relationships with HRBLs, other HRPs, Takeda People Solutions, PAG, COEIs and other Tasks such as Ethics & Compliance, Finance, Legal, IT, Security to develop HR processes, initiatives and solutions that make a positive impact when deployed and embedded

MinimumRequirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with emphasis in areas of generalist, organizational effectiveness, training, recruitment, and/or compensation with at least 7 years of experience as HRBP/generalist required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required in French, Dutch and English
  • Excellent digital skills
  • Global HR Experience strongly preferred; understanding of employment practices in more than one country
  • Experience with works councils or unions and in building strong relationships with social partners
  • HR experience in the health care or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Skilled in developing HR plans/initiatives and aligning people management practices to support business objectives

  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willingness to consistently travel between Belgium & The Netherlands, including overnight trips
  • Domestic and international travel may be required for international meetings
