Fightclub Belgium is looking for a talented & hands-on Human Capital Manager to manage our people agenda. You’ll start with full responsibility over Fightclub Belgium, while building bridges and bringing alignment across Fightclub Benelux (including the team in Breda). This role is all about attracting the best talents, engaging the “Fightclubbers” in a changing environment, supporting them to develop their full potential, and taking charge of change tracks and strategic HC initiatives. Your ultimate goal is to help us evolve from multiple teams to one company, one culture, one dream!

You’ll do this with a lot of autonomy — but not on your own: you’ll collaborate closely with our People & Marketing Lead, our two payroll officers, and the colleagues from the Dutch team.

The Challenge

Change management, HC projects & strategic initiatives

This position is not carved in stone: We already have some strong processes running, but we’re also looking for someone that can challenge us and help us make Fightclub an (even) better place to work and ultimately better serve our clients:

  • You help us manage organizational change: Recent move to new office, new team structure, integrating teams, ... Always with empathy, structure and a focus on positive employee experience
  • Every year brings new HC projects (eg launching our new talent development platform, improving career paths, integration of entities that join the group after an acquisition)
  • Partner with leadership: Collaborate closely with Fightclub’s management on all people-related topics, contributing to long-term planning, strategic decision-making and driving a cohesive people-first strategy

Engagement & culture

At Fightclub, we’re very much aware that there are no happy clients without happy Fightclubbers, we therefore put a lot of efforts in making sure all Fightclubbers are set up for success.

  • You take the pulse of the Fightclubbers (informally/ formally, qualitatively/ quantitatively), in order to gain a deep understanding of what’s going on, what should get better and what are the priorities. You define action plans based on these insights and take ownership to make sure concrete results follow
  • You make sure that Fightclubbers are engaged by being the champion of our company’s core values (Team-works, Go for growth, Get stuff done, Take ownership and Favor the brave), by coaching the Event team (in charge of all informal activities) and by contributing to a strong and transparent internal communication
  • You make sure that the monthly team meeting is a unique moment to inspire colleagues and share experiences

Developing Fightclubbers to their full potential

  • You are the owner of Fightclub’s talent development approach: acting as an internal consultant on talent development matters, evangelising new colleagues, boosting the feedback culture, refining the career path, continuously improving the tools
  • You set up the training plan and coordinate trainings (internally and externally), working hand-in-hand with the in-house experts and external providers
  • You are the go-to person for all Fightclubbers - from junior to manager - from SEA expert to creative account manager. You act as sounding board or mentor, and help them with questions on their development

Attracting the best talents

  • You are a strong Fightclub ambassador in the market, pro-actively identifying the best talents, teaming up with the marketing team to maintain an attractive employer brand and the marketing experts to build compelling recruitment campaigns
  • You are the first point of contact for candidates and make sure they have a great candidate experience, regardless of the outcome of the process: Screening applications, following up with candidates and hiring managers, optimizing the recruitment process
  • You evaluate the overall fit and motivation of the best candidates – from junior to manager – during the first interview
  • You negotiate offers with candidates based on aggregated feedback and the compensation structure of Fightclub
  • You onboard new colleagues so that they feel at home right from the start

Fortifying the foundations

  • You make sure the essential HR building blocks are solid, future-proof, and human-centered — so we can scale sustainably while keeping the Fightclub spirit alive
  • You are the owner of our compensation & benefits approach: from reward benchmarking to mobility budgets and other extra-legal perks. You continuously challenge and refine our offer to remain competitive and people-first. You manage the yearly merit & promotion process: collecting input from performance reviews, formulating well-founded recommendations, and aligning final decisions with the management team
  • You monitor and forecast total salary cost, contributing to budget planning and helping leadership make informed decisions based on factual data
  • You collaborate with our payroll team on contracts, internal policies and monitor changes in social legislation: making sure we do things right while keeping our processes clear, respectful and pragmatic
  • You supervise payroll and core HR admin: collaborating with the payroll team to ensure everything runs smoothly and supporting Fightclubbers when questions or hiccups arise
  • You manage and improve our HR systems: ensuring the tools we use actually support our processes, reduce complexity and generate valuable insights for decision-making

  • You connect the dots, understand the bigger picture and balance the interests of the company and those of its employees
  • You are not only able to spot problems and opportunities, but also take the lead in finding and implementing solutions thanks to your structured approach, hands-on mindset and demonstrated passion for achievement
  • You are passionate about trends in Human Capital and Talent Development and are willing to challenge the status quo
  • You have an affinity with the digital marketing and creative sectors
  • Your personal values are fully aligned with the values of Fightclub
  • You can fluently address candidates and Fightclubbers in their native language (Dutch, English, and ideally French)
  • You hold a master’s degree in field related to the function (eg business economics, business engineering, organisational psychology)
