Overview:
The Innovation Project Leader is responsible for the timely execution of EU feed additive authorization projects. As Innovation Project Leader, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team and assign clear responsibilities to each team member. You will be involved in designing, planning, following-up and reporting of animal trials performed by external research institutes for the development and/or the registration of new feed additive products in the EMENA region. The Innovation Project Leader will join a team that is dedicated to developing ingredients that help producers raising healthy livestock and poultry and supporting our customers with innovative services on a local level.

Responsibilities:
As Innovation Project Leader, you’ll have a wide range of responsibilities such as:
  • Manage breakthrough EU feed additive authorization project teams for a timely execution of projects
  • Submit new EU feed additive authorization project concepts
  • Define project plans with relevant milestones for projects from development to post-launch
  • Design, plan, follow-up and report on animal trials performed by external animal trial facilities
  • Statistical, and where relevant, microbiological, biochemical and/or chemical analysis from animal trials
  • Follow up of relevant scientific literature and/or regulatory guidelines (e.g. EFSA) for animal trials
  • Collaborate with consultant for the submission of EU authorization dossiers in the relevant EC and EFSA portals
  • Work with the Sales & Marketing organizations in implementing the innovation and regulatory strategies to achieve timely development and approval of new products in the EMENA region in accordance with business objectives
  • Focus and prioritize activities of assigned projects and assume responsibility for their success
  • Scientific writing, including papers, invention disclosures, conference abstracts and proceedings, and peer-reviewed journals as well as regulatory dossiers
  • Attend and represent at scientific conferences and technical working groups of regulatory/advocacy organization
Qualifications:

  • University master’s degree or PhD (depending on experience) in Veterinary Science, Animal Nutrition, Animal Sciences, Animal Health or in a related field, or equivalent by experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in animal physiology and animal nutrition, preferably monogastric species, ideally in swine species.
  • Experience in leading small multifunctional teams.
  • Experience in designing and monitoring animal trials.
  • Excellent skills in communication, and in statistics for animal trial data interpretation.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Fluency in English is required (additional language(s) is a plus).
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
  • Excellent attention to detail required, reliable, highly motivated, ability to work independently and interacts well in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, demonstrated prioritizing, planning and project management skills.
