Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Location: Lessines, Belgium

Working Hours: Part-time (Monday to Friday, Standard Business Hours)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract

Preferred Contract: B2B with Sharp Brains Limited (UK) – Candidates should be eligible to contract/file taxes as a self-employed individual or contractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Desktop Devices (hardware, software, and connectivity) incidents through to resolution.
  • Oversee IMAC and desk-side support services.
  • Handle hard and soft break-fix services for laptops and desktops.
  • Provide support and maintenance for standard and approved hardware and software (operating systems and standard office applications) on Desktop (Field Users).
  • Support, manage, optimize, and maintain the configuration and installation of Desktop systems, including patch updates and hardware replacements with vendor-provided spares.
  • Analyze Service Desk calls for Desktop Devices and incident data to identify potential user training requirements and automation opportunities.
  • Ensure each Desktop Device is installed with the appropriate Desktop image.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 OS.
  • Good to have: Knowledge in Active Directory (AD) and smart hands and feet support.
  • Good to have: Knowledge and experience in supporting Mac devices and tablets.
  • Experience with Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Strong expertise in EUC tools, remote support tools, MS Office, and Outlook.

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in English with good communication skills.
  • Local language proficiency (French) at least B2 level preferred.
