For our Belgian organization (located in Brussels), we are looking for an enthusiastic & data driven Junior Category Manager.

Your main challenge will be to contribute to the development of the market share of the NIVEA Personal Care & Sun Care products/brands by transforming insights, from global input & local analysis on channels, customers and portfolio into a tailored channel & category strategy with respective actions in assortment & shelf optimization to win with the shopper and grow the category for customers + NIVEA. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Key Account Managers & Brand Managers in the strategic decisions to be taken regarding efficient assortment and shelf/space development.
  • Integrate the company strategy and translate this in strategic category development plans and projects with customers to maximize volume, revenue and profit
  • Assemble, structure and analyze all information linked to the categories and the clients and translate this into recommendations / action plans
  • Provide customer + channel expertise and recommendations in the launch of new products + track their performance
  • Develop and present the customer assortment strategies, trade stories & business reviews
  • Develop & optimize customer Planograms
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, RGM (revenue growth management) and Supply Chain and improve the customer - supplier partnership

Your Profile

What it takes to join us?

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field: Marketing, Business economics,...;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (sales, marketing, market insights,...), preferably in consumer goods and/or FMCG ;
  • Strong analytical and synthetic skills: you can do magic with data
  • Well organized, structured and objective
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Very good language skills: English, Dutch and French
  • Knowledge of Nielsen, GfK and other data providers is a plus;
  • Solution oriented, dynamic, autonomous & positive team player
