Knowledge Manager EAF & DRP (M,V,X)

Introduction

At ArcelorMittal Belgium, we are developing the Green Primary project that entails the replacement of one blast furnace, by a Direct Reduced Iron plant (DRI) and two Electrical Arc Furnaces (EAF) to be able to produce almost half of our current production through a more sustainable production route.

This project must enable a reduction of CO2 emissions by almost 30% compared to 2018 and must enable ArcelorMittal Belgium to go to zero emissions by 2050.

What are we looking for?

As our knowledge manager, you will capture all available knowledge on existing and new installations. In addition, you will set up an entire new training program for future employees.

What does the job entail?

• Get familiar with the main installations and processes of the EAF & DRI
• Gain insight in the operational side of the EAF & DRI in order to review and standardize technical documents (e.g. manuals, work instructions, risk analysis…
• List the different competences and create competence matrixes.
• Optimize team structure and define competence levels. In order to do this, you communicate frequently with different stakeholders (Steel Shop, Blast Furnaces,…)
• Locate existing knowledge, documents, trainings and organize it for optimal use.
• Do research for the best training methods. In order to do so, you check what trainings are available within the organization (virtual reality, simulation methods, practical courses…). In addition, You actively look for methods that are new to our organization. All this to get new employee operational in the most efficient way.
Create a training program for future employees. For this, you collaborate closely with HR.

Are you the right candidate?

• A completed master’s degree
• Demonstrable experience in knowledge management
• Strong understanding of knowledge management systems such as Oracle, SAP, Educase, Excel…
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English and the ability to work effectively in teams.
Willingness to travel to other plants to visit EAF & DRI installations
