Job Description
About the role:
The Manufacturing Sciences (Manufacturing support & small-scale operations) department at Takeda provides scientific and technical expertise to the facility manufacturing operations and is responsible for process improvements initiatives. Key focus areas include leading complex manufacturing investigations, achieving higher process yields, and improving overall process robustness.
The Manufacturing Sciences Laboratory is part of the Manufacturing Sciences Department and operates scaled-down (pilot) versions of manufacturing operations to study and optimize operating process parameters. The primary role of the Lab Scientist is to perform lab scale experiments to support manufacturing operations and to improve processes. The Lab Scientist may be included as well in the redaction of specific lab studies.
How you will contribute:
- Participate in the production of pilot-scale batches or lab-scale experiments
- Performs the analytical tests required for lab studies and to support manufacturing
- Take part in specific problem solving/troubleshooting for laboratory investigations
- Participate in the redaction of protocols and reports for lab studies
What you bring to Takeda:
- Bachelor or Master in Sciences (Pharmaceutical sciences or Chemistry or Biochemistry)
- Background in a pharmaceutical environment is an asset (has a first successful experience or a long-term pharmaceutical internship in a company)
- Familiar with regular lab manipulations
- Capacities in writing scientific documentation in English, French speaking
- Good working knowledge of MS Office programs, SharePoint, LIMs or equivalent program
- Autonomous
- Excellent interpersonal, communicational and team skills, enthusiastic
- Feels at ease to collaborate with different local/global services and with suppliers
