Description

ATB Therapeutics is a Biotech company developing a cutting-edge technology to produce a new kind of targeted therapy designed to treat cancers and auto-immune diseases. ATB Therapeutics has two Belgian R&D sites located in the Novalis Science Park (Marche-en-Famenne) and the VIB incubator (Ghent).

To support our growing team, we are looking for an enthusiastic lab assistant to support our scientists and technicians, making their day-to-day tasks run smoother.

Your Role

As a laboratory assistant, you will participate in the daily preparation of experiments within the laboratory and work under the supervision of the lab manager. You will be responsible for the technical maintenance of the laboratory, orders reception, inventory and stock management, .

Here’s in more detail what you will be working on:

  • Prepare and maintain biomass dedicated to generating molecules of interest.
  • Clean and decontaminate laboratory equipment.
  • Receive and record incoming orders/consumables.
  • Assist with inventory management and order tracking.
  • Help manage laboratory supplies.
  • Maintain order in the laboratory to ensure a safe and comfortable working environment.
  • Assist in experiment preparation by preparing solutions, labeling tubes, and more.

Requirements

For a successful fulfilment of this position, we are interested in candidates meeting the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma (C.E.S.S.), Qualification Certificate (C.Q.), or Sixth-Year Professional Secondary Education Certificate (C.E.6.P.) in a scientific field.
  • Experience in a laboratory environment is a plus.
  • You are practical, can learn by doing and can easily spot where your assistance is required.
  • You are an energetic team player.
  • You are fluent in French but are also able to express yourself in English.
  • You are authorized to live and work in Belgium.
