Univercells Technologies is developing and marketing a new generation of biotech equipment (Scale-X and NevoLine) and in order to move forward with the global distribution of our innovative products we are ccurrently in search of a distinguished Logistics Lead to join our growing team.

Based in Nivelles, you will lead a team full of collaborative and passionate change-makers.

YOUR MISSION

The Logistics Lead is the operational relay of the Head of Supply Operations. You will be responsible for the team of Logistics and Export personnel.

You will manage, anticipate, and coordinate the flows between manufacturing, the warehouse, and the delivery to the customer to ensure the delays negotiated by the business in the sales order / contract and in respect to quantities, quality, delays and EHS standards.

More specifically, you will lead and ensure the efficient organization of the following flows:

1. Inbound

2. Storage (incl. inventory and cycle counts)

3. Picking

4. Outbound

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead execution of logistics and contribute to warehousing strategy.
• Lead daily control meetings, identifying issues and actions needed to be taken.
• Provide leadership and coaching to logistics/ export personnel to achieve department objectives and exceed customer and corporate requirements.
• Anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues, complete root cause failure analyses, and take corrective actions.
• Working with Procurement and Master Planning, actively manage inventory, maintaining a business-driven balance between business continuity needs and cost.
• Working with the Head of Supply Operations, ensure Trade Compliance for Univercells Technologies.
• Implement financial metrics and associated KPIs for performance of supply chain network and vendors.
• Develop and implement global transportation cost-savings programs for year-over-year savings.
• Maintain insight into industry and global logistic trends that will benefit the organization in the marketplace.
• Act as a backup for the Export Specialist (supervise the export-import orders, customs documentation, shipping follow-up, etc.).

YOUR SKILLSET

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in Logistics or Operations. Pharma or Biotech environment experience is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years project management or leadership position.
• Strong experience with ERP / WMS systems (Open ERP/Odoo is a plus).
• Ability to organize change, build relationships, and make good use of available resources.
• Ability to problem solve and set priorities, generating new ideas and improved ways of working while maintaining effective control.
• Excellent quality and organization of work (autonomy, methodological approach, behavior under pressure, rigor).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document complex processes.
• Knowledge of end-to-end logistics operations (including ocean, over-the-road transportation, rail, customs and warehousing) is a plus.
• Knowledge of EU Customs / Department of Commerce export regulatory law.
• Strong knowledge of the Incoterms (“ICC 2020” version is a plus).
• Working knowledge of Lean Supply Chain (Continuous Improvement Methodology, Kaizen, 5S, etc.) is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Enthusiastic and flexible enough to lead a multitasking role.
• Driven by curiosity and eager to learn more every day.
• Strong desire to be impactful.
• Hands-on approach.
