With your talent and energy paired with our vision and technical leadership, the most fulfilling work of your career is waiting for you at ST Engineering iDirect…the sky is truly the limit!We are seeking an innovative and creative Maintenance and Support Technicianwho is ready for the challenges, responsibilities, and rewards that come with working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesAs ourMaintenance and Support Technicianyou will:
  • Build prototype 19-inch cabinets from scratch, including extensive wiring and mechanic fixtures
  • Maintain our extensive range of Engineering 19-inch cabinets holding a vast array of telecom equipment
  • Install cabling (Coaxial, fibre, Ethernet and electrical) between cabinets and in-between rooms.
  • Order various components at suppliers
  • Working with Engineers from other teams to adapt the internal structure of our 19-inch cabinets
  • Prepare prototype housings and small mechanical parts by means of a milling machine
QualificationsAs a prerequisite to become ourMaintenance and Support Technician, you:
  • Are a Friendly and engaged team member who enjoys learning about new technologies
  • Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in a technical environment
  • Documentation ability by means of MS Office products
  • Fluently in Dutch, and good verbal communication skills in English
Desirable
  • Basic knowledge of the AREI
  • Have a technical vocational education or high school degree in - for example - mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
