PRIMARY FUNCTION :

To perform and take leadership for all maintenance activities at NSC, under the supervision of the Maintenance Group manager.

WORKING PROCEDURE AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED:
PERFORM WORK OF EQUIAL OR LOWER SKILL LEVEL AS REQUIRED.

Main tasks that fall under the responsibility of the Maintenance Technician are :

  • Perform maintenance of all NSC-based FS inspection and repair equipment used during outages.
  • Prepare and customize maintenance procedures and process sheets for hot and cold FS equipments.
  • Update maintenance procedures with equipment lessons learned and maintenance experience.
  • Perform critical reviews of FS logbooks, deficiency reports, CAP, packing lists comments.
  • Provide inputs to storeroom manager for spare parts management in order to meet equipment readiness schedule and limit time constraint on maintenance activities.
  • Support Logistics Group in unloading equipment carrier upon return from site.
  • Support and supervise subcontractors for equipment decontamination activities.
  • Perform and take leadership for equipment maintenance, trouble shooting, testing and revalidation/validation, packing and storage. If applicable, supervise Westinghouse personnel and subcontractors for these activities.
  • Perform testing and packing of cold equipment and spare parts and document as appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot/prepare FS control stations and equipment software/hardware. Update software using provided patches or following IT instructions.
  • Perform maintenance at customer sites and/or other Westinghouse locations as needed.
  • Implement, update and maintain equipment tracking process, including :
    • Create and maintain SAP equipment number when appropriate.
    • Print and maintain equipment bar codes.
    • Engrave and maintain equipment SAP ID when appropriate.
    • Standardize equipment nomenclature in SAP.
    • Implement, update and maintain equipment scanning procedure.
  • Provide training on equipment tracking process to other group’s employees in support to maintenance.
  • Take responsibility for coordinating activities in the controlled area, in support of the Maintenance Group manager.
  • Take responsibility for status and control of maintenance tooling.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT :

Electromechanical, Mechanical, Electrical Technician ( A2 degree, Bachelor degree)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT :

Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Maintenance and/ or Field service operation.
