The Role

Airtec is a division within Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area. The headquarter is located in Antwerp (Belgium) and has production units in China and India.
The divisional activities, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, finance and human resources are also located in Belgium. The Airtec division is responsible, as keeper of the “core know how” at the field of aircompression, for the development and manufacturing of all compressor elements and the delivery to the product divisions.

Worldwide, 1000 employees contribute to the success of this division.

The Smart Factory team is part of the process engineering department. The mission of the team is to drive our roadmap towards the Digital Twin and continuously improve the knowledge-based development processes across the Compressor Technique business area. The team explores all of the rechnologies related to ‘Industry 4.0’.

In our team you will have the opportunity to work really close to production and see the results of you work being used on a daily basis. At the same time you will to work on challenging and innovative projects to explore the potential of new technologies. These projects are in different domains such as machine connectivity, traceability, localization, building dashboards and operator interfaces and 5G technology.

With the increasing demand for more variability, shorter time to market and increasing complexity of our product portfolio, the next generation data platform will be a key enabler. For this we are looking for motivated colleagues to help shape the data platform for the Airtec division, and really do hands on contributions to this platform.

What we expect of you?

Educational requirements

The ideal candidate has an engineering master degree (or equivalent by experience). The candidate should have a strong interest in production technologies and automation and a mindset to put his/her knowledge into practice and to apply his/her experience in a real industrial and business environment.

Knowledge (Mandatory)

• Strong analytical and critical mind
• (Azure) cloud technology
• SQL server technology
• Experience in data visualization (e.g. PowerBI)
• Knowledge of programming languages (i.e. python, scala, SQL, java…)
• Fluent communication in Dutch and English

Knowledge (Optional)

• ERP, MES, PLM systems
• Experience with data lakes, ingestion pipelines, data sources,…
• Databricks, JIRA, OPC UA, Git, BitBucket, Agile, Scrum, Confluence, Power platform
