Jan De Nul Group is continually investing in its fleet and its people. The Marine Design and Engineering Department is involved from the preliminary design onwards. Every project is different and every single time the optimal configuration is determined. And if it doesn’t exist, we design it ourselves!For the expansion of the Marine Design and Engineering Department we are currently looking for a Marine Design Engineer.Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities Are
  • Performing basic design (calculations) for new vessels and for the conversion of existing vessels.
  • Designing project specific installations like cable laying vessels, steel and offshore constructions.
  • Performing project specific calculations for lifting operations, sea transports, vessel mooring, etc... .
  • Preparing technical specifications for other departments (purchase department, logistics department...).
ProfileYou hold a master degree in engineering sciences with option Electromechanics/mechanics, shipbuilding or naval architecture and you have first relevant work experience.Knowledge of calculation methods, software and theoretical aspects that are applicable on the design of vessels and installations are a plus but not required.Wat wij bieden
