MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
With the recent announcement of the new Operating Units, Medtronic has committed to strengthen its position as the global leader in the spinal, cranial and ENT surgery market. The Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) & ENT Operating Units (OU) are passionately driving the broad adoption of its service offering and grow service & repair revenue across Western Europe. Our ambition is to deliver best in class service to our customers and be the trusted partner in service & repair. Our service solutions cover large and small capital portfolio for robotics, navigation and imaging, drills, nerve monitoring, and energy solutions.
This is a Product marketing role reporting to the Enabling Technology Business Director Western Europe. You are a digital savvy, creative marketeer, hands-on, strong influencer and communicator with experience in Service & Repair (S&R) processes. You will be a part of an OU that thinks differently to solve problems, make progress, and deliver meaningful solutions to our customers internally and externally.
It is critical that the S&R marketeer will work closely with the Inside Sales Manager leader, alongside the country and Swiss HQ (European HQ) product marketing teams and EMEA Service Operations to create and execute on regional marketing strategies and tactics for capital service selling and support for CST & ENT business.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Formulates and reviews quarterly and annual business plans (AOP), goals, and objectives for different service offerings for large and small capital equipment to maximize service revenue growth and customer satisfaction and reach sales targets.

  • Analyses competitive market landscape and develops strategies to improve service offering and ultimately increase market share for all service offerings.

  • Determines the profitability and viability of service offering (current and new service contracts) through right pricing strategy.

  • Develops marketing strategies and tactics, working closely with EMEA Service Organisation (deliver on our promises).

  • Is the Service & Repair core brand owner for CST and ENT in Western Europe, responsible for strategic positioning up to tactical execution of Service and Repair (“product promotion”, digital lead generation and advertising campaigns, …).

  • Serves as Service Specialist and technical adviser for “small” and “big” capital in all its aspects and benefits for the customers, from different Service Contract offerings, Planned Maintenance, Out of Warranty, Time & Material, End of Guaranteed Service, …, demonstrating Service products at customer congresses and Medtronic Training & Education events.

  • Ensures strong partnership and collaboration across the matrix with OU’s, EMEA Service Operations (small & large capital) & Accenture teams to deliver on shared goal of optimal customer experience and maximize revenue generation from installed base and new product launches.

  • Analyses data from and actively working through different tools and systems (SFDC, SAP, Power BI, and financial reports), and -in collaboration with EMEA Service Operations- monitor critical KPI’s related to Service and Repair such as loaner process efficiencies, replacement processes, on time shipments, etc.

  • Liaise and communicate regularly with Service Operations team to align marketing strategy to logistic and operational execution.

  • Clearly communicate strategy and execution progress through quarterly business reviews (QBR) at European and country levels.


MUST HAVE

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing or Business Management.

  • At least 4 years of working experience in Service & Repair, Customer Care (preferably healthcare).

  • Passionate about service & technologies: proven track record in service environment.

  • Data driven & strong analytical skills particularly Excel and Salesforce (SFDC) (SAP, Power BI is a big plus).

  • Digitally savvy, extensive experience with digital campaign creation, lead generation, social media (LinkedIn, Email, Twitter, etc.).

  • Successful track record in marketing, from strategy to tactics, preferably at European level.

  • Experience with lead generation tools such as SFDC, ELOQUA, etc.

  • Proven ability to operate in a complex matrix environment and work effectively with business and service organization.

  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to achieve objectives.

  • Highly motivated with "can do" attitude.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate (written or verbal, good listener) at all levels in an organization and with diverse groups.

  • Positive thinking and adaptability.

  • Ability to handle complexity, work autonomously & excellent priority setting, analytical.

  • Influential leadership skills and good negotiator.

  • Demonstrated integrity and respect of peers and subordinates.

  • Multicultural, multi-country and diversity savvy.

  • Team player.

  • Fluent in English, other European languages are an asset.


NICE TO HAVE
  • Medical Devices industry experience.
LOCATION
Western Europe Region. The CST EMEA Marketing Team are based from Tolochenaz in Switzerland, and the majority of the Inside Sales team operates from Heerlen (Netherlands). Proximity is an asset, but the successful candidate can be operating out of other countries, as long as she/he is prepared to travel, as necessary, to fulfil the role as S&R marketeer and effectively engage with the multiple stakeholders within the large CST & ENT teams. (expectation minimum of 25% travel time).
