To strengthen our Pharma Sciences Manufacturing & Powder Technology Department, based in Braine-l’Alleud (Belgium), we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Material Sciences SME

As Material Sciences SME, you like to work in an environment where you can:

As Material Sciences SME, you will contribute by:

  • Being a leader in powder characterization and materials science to drive overall CMC Development in order to obtain the right drug for every patient.
  • Developing and performing physical analyses such as particle size and shape, powder flow, microscopy, surface characterization, density, thermal behaviour,…
  • Maximizing the understanding of a material’s behaviour while minimizing the sample size for analysis.
  • Being a reference person in your field of expertise.
  • Keeping track of literature and state of the art scientific practices, and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Communicating with stakeholders and external partners (universities, centres of expertise,…)
  • Writing reports and give internal and external presentations.

For this position, you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Master’s degree/PhD in Sciences with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Material Science related to powders is MANDATORY.

OR

  • PhD in Material Sciencerelated to powders is MANDATORY.
  • Experience of minimum 3 years within the Pharma sector in Product Development is MANDATORY.
  • Process understanding applied to pharmaceutical development is an advantage.
  • Very good command in English. French is a plus.
  • Soft skills: entrepreneurship, motivations, enthusiasm, reliability, collaboration, good communication, multitasking.
