Job Description

  • Creating and monitoring the daily production schedule based on customer orders and capacity
  • Monitoring progress on the shop floor and timely adjusting in case of delays or issues
  • Managing and optimizing inventory levels of raw materials and packaging materials
  • Coordinating schedules with the production, procurement, and logistics departments
  • Checking delivery deadlines and ensuring timely availability of required materials
  • Identifying bottlenecks in the production process and proposing improvements
  • Using and keeping planning software and ERP systems up to date
  • Reporting to production management on planning, inventory, and performance
  • Contributing to improving production efficiency and flexibility
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards within the planning process

The Successful Applicant

  • Has proven experience in production planning within the food, logistics, or industrial sector
  • Works in a structured manner and maintains overview, even under pressure
  • Is proficient in Excel and planning software; experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Thinks problem-solving and proactively adjusts in case of deviations or delays
  • Communicates clearly with colleagues from various departments (production, logistics, procurement)
  • Is analytically strong and efficiently manages changing priorities
  • Shows responsibility and takes ownership of the production flow
  • Is flexible with working hours and has no issue with early starts
  • Works accurately and with attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Actively contributes to process improvements and continuously seeks optimization
