Who are we looking for?

As Operations Coordinator Mobile Repair (MoRe), you will

Guarantee that the treated wagons are safe by railway security standards, in order to ensure a safe utilisation of the wagons;
Operationally lead a team of technicians on a daily basis to allocate resources (human & material) to optimise output and in the most cost-efficient way, while respecting all safety and quality related requirements;
Coach, guide and support technicians in carrying out and improving their daily activities.

What is your task package?

You ensure a safe working environment, where employees feel valued and where the highest attention is paid to quality & safety;
Coordinate the team by making up the daily work planning and find & lead ways to improve efficiency with both internal & external stakeholders (customers and stations), thereby respecting agreed priorities;
Evaluate the competences of each technician in the team in consultation with the Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement Responsible and indicate which training courses are necessary for their personal development;
Assist the Tools & Spare Parts coordinator in finding the best way of both local and central stock keeping of spare parts and keeping stock levels up-to-date;
Ensure strict order and tidiness at the workplace (Lean5S);
You continuously question the current way of working, and define concrete improvements in order to perform our maintenance in the best possible way;

What is your profile?

You have a higher education degree, preferably as an engineer or equivalent through experience;
Experience with railroad operations is a plus;
You have the necessary technical affinity;
You have a hands-on mentality (getting things done)
You can easily motivate colleagues,
You have at least 3 years of experience in a managerial position;
You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
