About Our Client

Our customer is a global company active in the chemical sector and has presence in more than 30 countries.

Job Description

As Payroll coordinator, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Acting as an internal consultant for the employees regarding salary, compensation & benefits, and social legislation topics.
  • Ensuring correct and timely implementation and payment of salaries (merit, holiday payments, year-end premium, bonuses, cost of livings increases, promotional increases, etc) (both Belgium and abroad).
  • Responsible for coordinating annual HR processes (ex: bonus process).
  • Acting as an internal expert / consultant on all local social security, income tax and labour legislation matters.
  • Support multiple processes/procedures such as handling CLA’s, Social Elections, Fleet management, on -and off boarding, Works Council requests.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Ideally a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources and preferably a couple of years of of relevant working experience in payroll.
  • The ability to work independently, a high level of stress-resistance and focus on details are essential to be successful in this role.
  • A good understanding of company policies & procedures as well as a good understanding of company structure (see the different businesses, departments on site).
  • The ability to deal with a high level of confidentiality, trust, and discretion as there is constant access to confidential personnel data and company secret matters.
  • Good IT-skills (HRIS systems such as E-Blox and Workday, Excel, Word).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Dutch is essential.
