Within the Danone Belux structure you will be working in the Marketing Department on the Alpro and Provamel brands, as a Product Manager under the guidance of the Sr Product Manager. The Alpro & Provamel product categories are divided between the Product Manager and the Sr Product Manager. Hence, as a Product Manager Plant-based, you will be responsible for your own plant-based inno/reno/OBPPC projects.


Portfolio management:

  • You work with your key stakeholders to deliver the annual sales and business objectives, across the company’s main product categories and innovations.
  • You’ll provide input on portfolio priorities and the national assortment cards.
  • You feed into the brand and shopper marketing teams: giving input on hero products for the growth events and other support needed to grow the business.

New Product Development launches & post-launches:

  • You own and deliver significant elements of the annual category and brand planning process: from proactively identifying gaps/opportunities through to sales presentations on your particular product categories
  • You work closely together with the global plant-based acceleration unit and NPD-teams to ensure full and timely delivery of your inno and reno projects.
  • You have a good understanding of the BeLux market and put the consumer at the heart of what you do.
  • You build the consumer, sales and business cases to back- up proposed solutions.
  • You understand and unlock the power of OBPPC to drive profitable growth.
  • You work with PRGM/Finance to deliver clear P&L’s for each proposed inno/reno - focusing on growing topline and bottom-line.
  • You and the Sr Product Manager regularly present and advocate plans to other functional teams and commercial contacts. You proactively manage resulting feedback. (PB Category meetings)
  • You ensure the delivery of necessary concept sells to the sales colleagues, together with Cat Man
  • You rollout launch(es), with and together with your sales and category colleagues.
  • You propose clear KPI’s for each innovation, and track these and the total performance in market, assess ROI at post-launch review and advise changes where necessary.

Stakeholder management, as owner of a big number of PB projects, you liaise with the right stakeholders to ensure timely and on target delivery of the portfolio objectives.

  • You work closely together with key global stakeholders: the global plant-based acceleration unit, NPD-team
  • You are working on the Alpro & Provamel portfolio for the Belgian market, which means working together with key local stakeholders to fully leverage the power of our portfolio: KAMs, CatMan, D2D-team, Finance.
  • You report into the Sr Product manager. Making sure she and the plant-based marketing manager have the right information available to validate portfolio decisions and push the local portfolio agenda within the local business and the plant-based acceleration team. (Current routines: Brand GPS, Topline Team GPS, EU Implementation meeting, LIM,...)

About You


  • You hold a Master Degree, preferable in Marketing, Economics, Commercial Engineering, etc. Experience within an international FMCG or Food environment is a plus.
  • You have strong analytical skills and have experience with Nielsen and GfK data.
  • You are a MS Office Excel wizard.
  • You are a conceptual and creative thinker, comfortable with designing business cases with limited data. You are solution-minded, no challenge is left unsolved.
  • You have well developed Project Management skills, following strict but often volatile timelines is what you do for breakfast. You are agile, always looking for the best possible solutions for short & long term impact and foster excellence in execution in a complex environment.
  • You are human centric, understand the needs of your consumers, customers and key stakeholders. You bring the outside in.
  • You are a team player, inclusive and collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills. You build strong connections with the local team (Customer team, Category Mgmt, D2D, GS) and the Plant-based acceleration unit to co-create value.
  • You value accountability and hero this within the organization
  • You are a strong communicator and storyteller. You are passionate about the brands you work for and want to convince the world of the benefits of plant-based.
  • You are fluent in English. Dutch and French are big assets.
  • You have a true Growth Mindset to maximize the potential of plant-based within the Belgian market.
  • You have a passion for OPOH and sustainability
