Mission

The Pricing Analyst has the responsibility to build pricing strategies based on report analysis, market review and competition, (he is the one taking strategic pricing decisions relating to fare increases/decreases).
Together with the O&D-Route Analyst, the Pricing Analyst shall maximize the revenue, protect and increase market shares and remain competitive with benchmark carriers.

The Pricing Analyst is also actively looking for improvements for his pricing strategies, for the department as well as participating to bigger company/group project.


Tasks

  • Maximize Revenues
  • Develop, implement and monitor an appropriate fare strategy in accordance with the business objectives of Brussels Airlines for the overall network in order to maximize the revenue
  • Translates business opportunities into pricing solutions based on the feedback from the market and from data analysis
  • Initiate pricing programs that stimulate passenger demand and work with Flight Analyst & Sales to identify the markets requiring stimulation

  • Analyses
  • Build an action plan based on analyses and interpretation of reports to stay up to date with market developments, competition and possible threats & opportunities
  • Actively participate in deeper markets/topics analysis to gain knowledge and plan future improvements to our pricing strategy
  • Produce management reports to monitor market performance and trends

  • Communication
  • Collect feedback and market intelligence from the stations, field sales and marketing on market fares and competitive pricing initiatives
  • Ensure that market knowledge, pricing actions, fares, and other relevant information are shared with the Flight analyst, marketing & sales representative
  • Discuss and align pricing strategy with Flight Analyst to ensure the revenue optimization and well as with the sales and other relevant department.
  • Providing feedback to the team and to the management (all levels) to evaluate & recommend on the best strategies
  • Participate, as Revenue Management representative, in different group and/or industry events

4. Change management & continuous improvements

  • Proactively participate to the department continuous improvement of process & tools as well as Revenue Management market innovation and projects.
  • Adapt quickly to market and competition changes
  • Try and learn new strategy and gain market and customer knowledge

Profile

  • Bachelor diploma preferably in an economic environment (or relevant experience built up in the airline industry)
  • 3 years of relevant airline experience
  • The ideal candidate has built up previous experience in the field of sales, finance, operations, ticketing and reservation.
  • Working knowledge of pricing practices is an asset
  • You are fluent in English, Dutch and/or French
  • You can easily manage & work with MS Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of AxsRes and/or Amadeus and ATPCO is an asset
  • You can build collaboration and foster communication with vaious types of people
  • You are able to adapt quickly in the changing and challenging environment that the industry is facing
  • You are a team player
  • You are able to work under pressure
