The job

The Privacy & Commercial Advisor is a member of Telenet COE Legal & Regulatory. The team develops and manages governance processes for privacy, commercial and related legal matters across the company.

Key Accountabilities
  • Drafting DPIAs (data protection impact assessments), including risk assessments
  • Inserting privacy data in databases (including Collibra)
  • Monitoring the implementation and advising from a legal & privacy perspective on data related agreements (with broadcasters, advertisers) and new venture projects
  • Drafting DPAs (data processing agreements)
  • Conducting Schrems assessments
  • Ensuring implementation and continuous improvement of commercial legal compliance and Privacy processes
  • Maintain up-to-date overview of legislation and case law on privacy and commercial (data focused) matters
  • Support in the dissemination best practice around privacy and legal commercial practices
Knowledge & Experience

Preferred Education/ Qualifications
  • Relevant Master’s degree required
Knowledge & Experience
  • At last 3 year’s relevant professional experience
  • Detailed practical, technical and legal understanding of Privacy and commercial legislation
  • Appreciation of the technology Telenet’s products and service and the policy issues that technology drives.
  • Understanding of the commercial, legal and political context in which Telenet operates
Skills & Abilities
  • Fluency in written and spoken Dutch or French and English
  • Commercial understanding of Telenet’s business
  • Developed writing and presentation skills
  • Project management skills involving tight timescales
  • Ability to work within challenging deadlines
  • Good prioritization skills
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Self-starter, with ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Sense of self-confidence combined with openness to learning and applying new skills and concept
