Product Development Expert

We are looking for our next Product Development Expert, who will be responsible for the development of new measurement systems from concept to design launch, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team within the organization. You will also provide global support within the business units through deep technical expertise around a specific product family.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

· Propose new ideas or product modifications to improve process control for customers and ensure greater safety for operators.

· Identify and test potential conceptual solutions.

· Assist in determining and quantifying the technical requirements of the system.

· Elaborate on the final design, taking into account the manufacturability of the product.

· Define and execute the product validation program (internally and in customer applications).

Who are we looking for?

· You have a master’s degree in Engineering Science.

· Preferably 3 to 10 years of experience in an engineering position (product development, product engineering, technical project manager, manufacturing engineer, ...)

· Extensive basic technical knowledge of materials, mechanics, electricity, physics, ...

· Fluent in English (orally and in writing). Additional languages are a plus.

· Availability to live in Belgium (with our assistance in relocating you)

· Specific knowledge of metallurgy would be an asset.

· Creative, motivated and results-oriented, takes initiative and can function independently.

· Can set priorities and meet strict deadlines.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

· International focus and availability to travel occasionally.
