Our people are our most valuable asset. To support and reinforce our Commercial team we are looking for a Product Manager.

Mission and Key Tasks

As a Product manager you will manage all elements of product development, packaging, launch process and marketing programs for key strategic customers within the business unit. You will work closely with Key Account Managers and relevant internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the sales team to analyze and develop product and marketing strategy
  • Work closely with other product managers within Europe to share ideas and best practices
  • Project management of all elements of the (re)launch critical path and ensuring all stakeholders meet their objectives
  • Key point of contact for the customer and relevant departments
  • Work alongside the relevant KAM in the day to day management and development of customer relationship
  • Take ownership of sample process, ensuring costs are managed effectively
  • Work closely with the sales team in preparation of materials and samples for customer meetings and tenders
  • Main point of contact for the plants from a product, labels and packaging perspective
  • Main point of contact for the customer for questions related to product, updating product specifications or other product quality requirements
  • Manage market intelligence through store visits on a regular basis and communicating findings in a timely manner internally
Background and Experience
  • Preferably a degree related to product development, trade marketing or marketing
  • Relevant experience, preferably in a trade/marketing or a product development role
  • Experience within FMCG is a plus
  • Experience of dealing with customers in a face to face environment
  • Ability to absorb a great deal of information, also technical
  • Ability to communicate technical/detailed information in a way that can be understood by non-technical people
  • Willingness to get familiar with different administrative tools (Ontex’ & customers’ tools)
  • Willingness to travel (customer visits or Ontex internal meetings)
  • Fluent English and Dutch
  • Able to prioritize workload and deliver quality results
  • Well organized and able to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills
