As a Product Manager Payment Platform, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of electric vehicle charging. In this position, you’ll have a significant impact on the strategy and direction of Smappee’s payment solutions across all of our products of today and tomorrow. Your challenge involves exploring global markets, fostering strategic partnerships, identifying product gaps, and crafting cutting-edge payment solutions.

Your responsibility lies in ensuring that our B2B and B2C products feature payment solutions that are easy to use, well-crafted, adaptable for international markets, and prepared for the future. You’ll be the essential link connecting external partners, R&D, sales, marketing, and the ever-evolving landscape of international market trends and regulations.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for Smappee’s Payment Platform that fits with the overall Smappee product strategy.
Gain insights into the unique requirements of our diverse community of Charge Point Operators (CPOs) who rely on Smappee Products.
Implement and deploy market-ready solutions that are internationally scalable for streamlined split billing, CPO payments, and efficient payment terminal integration.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to payment solutions in the EV market, and beyond.
Define and prioritize features, enhancements, and roadmap based on market demand and customer feedback.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers to gather insights and feedback for continuous product improvement.
Foster alignment within the organization regarding solution definition and development, emphasizing effective communication among project management, engineering, operations, sales, and marketing teams.
Guarantee that product pricing and costs align with market demands while meeting the company’s margin targets.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager in payment solutions, with a strong track record of bringing innovations to market.
In-depth grasp of European and international payment system regulations, allowing for proactive responses to regulatory requirements, such as recent announcements regarding the need for payment terminals.
Financial acumen to manage product pricing and costs in accordance with market demands and company margin targets.
Exceptional strategic thinking, capable of shaping and executing a comprehensive product/platform strategy aligned with Smappee’s broader product vision.
Strong market research and analytical skills to stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to build and maintain essential relationships with stakeholders, partners, and customers.
A talent for delineating and ranking product features and improvements in response to market demand and customer input.
Solid project management skills, including the capacity to foster alignment within the organization and ensure effective cross-functional communication.
Understanding of the electric vehicle charging and energy management industry, especially in the context of payment solutions is a plus.
