This role helps to ensure the continuity of technical control and control of the production line, by leading an important line of business (technical, system or organization) to deliver results determined by the compelling business needs of the site. You ensure that the most important business results are achieved and others are developed to ensure the continuity of technical control on the production line. You think strategically through a systematic approach so that the results are maintained in the long term.

How you will contribute :

As a Line Leader, you will lead some production lines within a section and prioritize them to ensure the continuity of the production process and achieve the objectives set out for safety, quality, delivery reliability, cost, durability and morale.

Activities :

You send and coaches your team members and Team leaders

Together with your team and colleagues’s of quality, safety and continuous improvement, you form a team of passionate competent employees who contribute to achieving business objectives and to sharing business values.

You work with the steering committee on daily priorities and master plan

You organize, follow up and adjust production to match the quantitative, achieve qualitative and budgetary standards and objectives

You will follow up the technical budget and support the implementation of the preventive maintenance plan

You work closely with planning

You support the CI Coördinator, which defines and coördineert improvement projects of the lines.

You also work with the IL6S tools and guide others in this. (Kaizen, RCA, EPL, tags, …)

You ensure the follow-up of safety, quality and the environment is in line with our policy. The necessary audits are carried out successfully with e.g. 5S, safety, AIB, quality. The necessary risk analyzes are carried out and improvement actions are formulated and the departments concerned.

You will be involved in driving the company vision and translating it into more concrete goals for your team.

You communicate with your team, colleagues and support departments to ensure that everything is aligned. You can do this through a good shipping transfer in your team, leading DMS 2 and reporting on DMS 3 as well as regular execution of gemba walks (production tours).

Your profile :

You have a Master in a technical direction or equivalent by experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a production or technical environment

Coaching a team of employees is a passion for you.

Knowledge of safety, quality and hygiene regulations in food is a plus

Knowledge of Lean Management is an extra asset

Job Description:

As a line manager, you are responsible for a number of production lines on the site. For these lines, you set goals in relation to production, but also in relation to the performance of the different operators and team leaders. This will translate you into concrete actions so that all parties understand their goals and are motivated to achieve them together. Throughout production, you are responsible for the allocated budgets and cost management, but also for the creation and follow-up of staff in the form of planning and recruitment. You are also committed to following the guidelines closely in terms of safety, quality, costs, etc. In your line manager role, you report to the Production Manager responsible for this business unit.
