About EIT Food

JOB DESCRIPTION:

EIT Food is part of a larger network of Knowledge and Innovation Communities addressing societal challenges such as Climate Change (EIT Climate-KIC), Health (EIT Health) and Digitalisation (EIT Digital). Some of the projects of EIT Food are a collaboration between these different communities, called Cross-KIC projects. EIT Food is the leading KIC of the Cross-KIC cluster ‘Strategic Synergies’, a cluster with the aim to support the EU’s mission towards a healthy, sustainable and inclusive Europe, and to put the EIT KIC’s at the front as thought and innovation leaders in Europe to make this mission happen. As Programme Manager Cross-KIC Strategic Synergies, you will drive and lead this cluster, which includes work packages on Artificial Intelligence, Circular Economy, New European Bauhaus, and Woman Entrepreneurship.

As Programme Manager you will lead the Cross-KIC activities, including coordination, monitoring of the activities’ implementation and reporting the progress to the EIT, and grant managing to allow for increased efficiency, simplification and harmonization of administrative practices, legal procedures, reporting duties, launch of calls, event organization and platform exploitation across the different activities.

JOB AND CONTRACT TYPE:

We offer a full-time 3-years employment contract under the Belgian labour law.

LOCATION:

You will be based at the EIT House in Brussels and the Co-Location Centre West in Leuven, Belgium.

Frequent travel within Europe can be expected.

EXPECTED START DATE:

January 2022.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will coordinate the Cross-KIC programme ‘Strategic Synergies’, including WP’s on Artificial Intelligence, Circular Economy, New European Bauhaus, and Woman Entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities are:

• coordination, Monitoring, Reporting & Evaluation of the respective activities within the Cross-KIC cluster and report on the activities to EIT
• coordinate the harmonisation of ICT tools: support the Cross-KIC transition to the Horizon Europe operational and legal framework, in particular common data and knowledge management.
• coordinate the harmonisation of legal procedures and administrative processes of the activities for all the KIC’s
• coordinate the joint communication and dissemination activities together with the Cross-KIC Communication manager
• coordinate the network of stakeholders (industries, universities, cities, SME’s, start-ups) to share good practices and to ensure maximum engagement
• connect with other Programme Managers on KIC level to effectively deliver the EIT Food Business Plan, for example co-organising local events for partners and outreach events

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Qualifications

• You hold a Master degree related to Business Administration, International Management, or Governance and Public Policy OR another master degree associated with these areas
• You have experience in leading international projects that use a systemic innovation approach and involve multiple stakeholders from different type of organisations
• You speak and write fluent English with a good knowledge of French, Dutch or any other European language
• Experience in EU-funded project management (H2020 or similar) is an asset
