As our Purchasing Manager Overland, your focus is on increasing sales for our Overland product. You are responsible for all purchasing and account management activities. You will be involved in relationship management with the different hoteliers for your portfolio, resulting in the best possible purchases according to our 5 year plan. You are part of an experienced team of Purchasers who are passionate about what they do. In this position you are expected to work independently as you will be on the road a lot (approximately 90 days a year).

About The Role
  • You are fully responsible for optimizing the cost base of the hotel;
  • You will be responsible for preparing and managing the budget for accommodation expenses for the Overland product;
  • You will meet individual hotel/area targets through accommodation contract negotiations, renegotiations and in season late buying and ad hoc purchasing and manage all required purchasing trading activities;
  • You will influence and provide input into product selection, range management and new developments and highlight and develop opportunities for long-term agreements;
  • You invest the right time to ensure that you can quickly build relationships with your stakeholders, both within our organisation and beyond.

About You
  • You need to have proven tour operator / buying experience;
  • Goal oriented with strong commercial insight with the ability to make commercial decisions based on complex information;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Proven ability to work with multiple contacts within one customer organization;
  • You have the courage to speak your mind and can substantiate your opinion;
  • You are driven and tackle your tasks with full energy;
  • You are flexible and passionate when it comes to car holidays;
  • You are proficient in Word and Excell;
  • You are fluent in English and French, and preferably German or another language.
