BelGaN is a new company with a vision to become a leading 200mm automotive-qualified GaN (Gallium-Nitride) foundry in Belgium, at the heart of a “GaN Valley” ecosystem in Europe and beyond.

BelGaN will transform from an automotive-qualified Si-based technology semiconductor fab with a highly skilled workforce in operations, quality and R&D into a dedicated GaN-focused semiconductor technology company. BelGaN will innovate, develop, and bring to market an extensive roadmap of state-of-the-art and novel GaN technologies.

To realize this and be successful, BelGaN is looking for a Quality Engineer.

Job description

As a part of the quality team you will focus on the quality processes (e.g. change management, customer quality, document management, Supplier Quality and the Automotive core tools such as FMEA methodology, SPC, MSA…) in accordance to ISO9001 and IATF16949 standard.

• Based on the ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards you support the organization to have effective and efficient quality processes implemented and support the organization for continual improvement of the quality processes
• You will be process owner of some of the quality processes by which you maintain and continually improve the applicable procedure. Within this responsibility you will be the subject expert in which you prepare documentation, perform training and coach of involved people.
• You work closely with the different teams (process and equipment engineering, production, R&D, …) in order to manage the quality processes
• You support a quality culture, where everyone is contributing to quality
• You are aware of the customer’s quality requirements and you translate these to the organization
• You perform process audits and analyze the results of the various audits and participate in the timely and effective handling of the action plan

Qualification

• Master degree or equivalent through experience
• You have experience in a quality environment with knowledge of ISO9001, IATF16949 standard, and the Automotive core tools such as FMEA, SPC, MSA… and preferable knowledge of VDA6.3 standard
• You are analytical with a problem-solving, pragmatic mindset looking for efficient and effective solutions.
• Good communication skills and have a fluent knowledge of Dutch and English (both written and spoken)
• You are a strong team player, fully committed, responsible and accountable for your domain results (technical, milestones, cost).
• You embrace core values on respect and human equality (race, gender, …), take initiative and are outspoken and persistent, with respect for other opinions.
