Make your mark for patients
To strengthen our Quality Assurance team,we are looking for a high caliber, self-motivated, Quality Risk Management Lead based in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.

You like to work in an environment where you will:
- Develop the Quality Risk Management Strategy and ensures it is embedded into the UCB Risk Management process and also connected with the various quality management processes to get the right inputs at the right time, leveraging Product and Process knowledge to shift from reactive to proactive risk management.
- Manages the ownership of the corporate Quality Risk Management amongst departments and related training materials when relevant, ensuring corporate process alignment, continuous improvements/efficiency of this process, all while ensuring that UCB risk management process is compliant with ICH Q9, and other regulations related to risk management.
- Build and maintain a cross-functional network of SME’s and Entity Process Owners (EPOs). This will be achieved through close collaboration and partnering with different stakeholders coming from different departments within Dev SOL and S&TS.
- Design, maintain, and improve a process allowing visibility of the Quality/Compliance risks and their management and ensures consistency in risk scoring and response strategies globally; developing and maintaining communication and information-sharing mechanisms for the Quality organization to access information on risk identified, and their mitigation status
- Partner with external stakeholders to understand the external environment and potential Quality risks to the company as well as best practice for managing these risks.
- Be responsible for presenting the UCB Quality Risk Management Process during inspections, and accountable for the outcome, including any subsequent corrective and preventive actions
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
- 10 years professional experience
- Solid understanding of the biopharma environment, both from a business and an end-to-end CMC perspective
- Previous exposure to strategic / long-term initiatives
- Previous experience in Risk Management is a plus
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams
- Proven and recognized project leadership skills, including project planning, monitoring, issue resolution, decision making, reporting
- Proven track in Project & Portfolio Management and associated tools.
- Self-starter
- Team-minded and adapting easily to a multi-cultural environment
- Good communicator, flexible and driven
- Ability to identify and address potential problems /areas for improvement pro-actively and act on them in a problem-solving manner with appropriate stakeholders
- Act as an integrator and has the ability to challenge teams in a constructive and positive manner
- Rigorous, critically minded and pragmatic
- Eager learn, to continuously broaden and deepen his/her knowledge
- Deep sense of accountability and responsibility, huge sense of persistence.
- Ability to gain commitment from large teams with different profiles
- Fluent in English. French is a plus.
