You will join our European Policy and Sustainability department
As our new Analyst - European Public Policy you will be part of the European Policy and Sustainability department which mainly works with the European Institutions and bodies, but also with other international and national institutions in France and Belgium, providing consultancy in public policy and management. We support evidence-based policy making across a range of policy areas by providing public policy research and analysis, evaluations and impact assessments, stakeholder engagement and process facilitation.
Your Key Tasks And Responsibilities Will Be
- Working on projects contributing to EU policy making, such as policy studies, evaluations, impact assessments, comparative studies and benchmarking, social and economic cost and benefit analyses, feasibility studies, stakeholder consultations
- Working across a range of public policy areas contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, and in particular the social aspects of the low-carbon transition and post-COVID-19 recovery
- Conducting desk research, interviews, surveys
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis and data processing
- Writing reports and drafting presentations for our client
- Undertaking administrative tasks
The internship is offered through the Belgian CIP (professional induction programme) and has a duration of 6 months, with the possibility to extend this period by a further 6 months depending on performance. The internship period is from 1st of March 2022 to 31st August 2022. It will be remunerated at 1,000 EUR net per month and will include normal social security contributions and holidays. The working language is English.

- You have a Bachelor’s degree and are either in the final stages of, or have completed, a Master’s Degree, preferably in Public Policy, European Studies, Political Science, Law, Economics, Social Sciences, where you are/were among the top students.
- You have knowledge of and an interest in public policy and the EU.
- You have experience in and enjoy drafting coherent analytical texts based on a wide range of qualitative and quantitative sources.
- You are analytical, structured and good at handling many tasks at the same time.
- You are well-organised and able to internalise substantial amounts of (new) materials.
- You have excellent command of English, both written and oral, and ideally fluency in at least one more EU language.
- It is an advantage if you have experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis and/or evaluation methodology, either from your studies or from a student job.
