For the expansion of our EMEA team, argenx is looking for a Sales & Marketing Director for the DACH region.Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
The Sales & Marketing Director DACH is responsible for all marketing and sales activities to achieve the commercial objectives, including brand management, promotional strategy, and sales effectiveness, for the DACH region. The role will focus on both near-term and pipeline assets, and will play a critical role in the definition of the commercial go-to-market strategy for the DACH region for each disease area being targeted by the company. This leadership role will partner closely with the Country Manager, the EMEA Head of Sales & Marketing, and the Head of Medical Affairs for the DACH cluster.
Your Primary Areas Of Focus Are
- Serve as an active member of the DACH Leadership Team with accountability for sales and marketing strategies for the launch of argenx products in the DACH region
- Set the regional Sales & Marketing plans, accelerate growth of the business and support alignment of product business goals
- Prepare and discuss strategies regarding product marketing in the DACH region in collaboration with the County Manager and the team, including marketing objectives and tactics
- Build an engaged workforce, ensuring strong collaboration; Structure, hire, lead and develop the field sales teams across the DACH region.
- Prepare and oversee sales and marketing budget and regular sales forecast revisions
- Analyze sales and marketing results and implement plans for improvement, as needed
- Assess marketing and sales opportunities through appropriate research
- Ensure marketing and sales efforts maximize returns on assets while achieving the strategic goals within business policies
- Conduct business activities in compliance with ethics and legal requirements.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry including operational and strategy roles
- 5+ years leading sales teams in the rare disease area. Previous experience working in therapeutic areas that are similar or analogous to those being explored by argenx
- You have hands-on experience in the development and execution of marketing campaigns
- Proven sales & marketing acumen, with a data-driven and analytical approach to building new businesses
- You have a well-established, deep network across the industry and possess competitive and market intelligence
- You are a connector, building relationships and partnering across the organization to achieve the company goals
- You excel in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment and possess a high learning agility
- You are pragmatic, yet creative and innovative and lead while "rolling up your sleeves" to get it done
- You show strong leadership with proven ability to build, motivate and develop a team
- You resonate with the values of argenx and you are ready to drive the Company Culture
- You combine strategic thinking with the ability to execute, both individually and by leading teams, to achieve operational excellence in the face of challenging goals
- Fluency in German and English; Additional languages (e.g. French) highly desirable.
