Job Description
Responsibilities
- Visit a clearly defined number of established customers (Main Customers are Carrefour, CORA, Delhaize, Match, Intermarché,…) in order to develop the market share of BIC products, for categories: Stationery, Lighters and Shavers.
- Focus on establishing working relationships with existing customers and develop the distribution of BIC products in line with the BIC sales policy.
- Ensure future business through constant and complete prospecting within your sales area.
- Sales Excellence & cross selling: Optimize our product visibility on the shelves and improve the general presentation of the BIC brand in order to increase sales.
- Introduce new products and negotiate features in customer catalogues & promotional flyers wherever possible and in the case such agreements are not centralized;
- Promote and take orders directly on the permanent assortments and special promotions/seasonal campaigns (BTS) and reply to local bids.
- As product specialist, advise local buyers and store/shelf managers about our assortments, market figures and trends, competitors, etc. and provide them with professional support on their category development.
- Communicate constantly with colleagues in other departments such as Marketing & Customer Service, Sales collegues: be alert to changes in the local market and signals coming from end users, customers, buyers and competitor activities.
- Report directly to the Sales Manager Benelux, inform him/her about your activities, results and experiences on the field
- Turn-over: total direct Off-invoices Sales and indirect sales
- Numeric distribution
- In store excellence - visibility and theatralisation/animation
- New business development
Requirements
- Higher education or equivalent by experience
- First experience in Field Sales
- Good level of French & Dutch
- Result oriented: business and result driven with some proven sales successes
- Well organized and structured approach with good administrative skills - able to work in an independent way
- Entrepreneurship & positive mindset: showing a real drive to accelerate sales in a challenging environment
- Creative and open for new ideas
- Negotiation skills
- Team-player with good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop yourself within the sales department
