Summary
About the Position:This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 650th Military Group. As the Executive Assistant, coordinates with other support staff to ensure that the Commander’s policies are carried out, and to ensure efficient work flow of administrative processes.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and improves the administrative work flow and office procedures of the Command Group, subordinate units and supports staffs; recommending changes to administrative procedures Group where necessary.
- Ensures protocol requirements are met for the frequent and broad base of visitors to the Office of the Commander.
- Serves as Executive Secretary to the Commander of the 650th Military Intelligence Group providing a full range of secretarial and administrative support to the Command Group .
- Coordinates with other support staffs throughout the Brigade to ensure that the Commander’s policies are carried out, and to ensure efficient work flow of administrative processes.
- Prepares military and non-military correspondences, narrative and tabulated reports, travel documents, personnel actions, and other similar printed materials using automated word processing equipment
- Manages the Commander’s calendar, resolving conflicts and coordinating schedules.
- Makes frequent travel arrangements for the Commander, ensuring that all security, accommodations, and other administrative requirements are met.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience at the next lower grade/level position (GG/GS-08) or equivalent.
Specialized experience is defined as performing and coordinating a variety of clerical and administrative work for an office, such as preparing travel arrangements, creating reports, providing Protocol support, and/or managing calendars for high level officials; and experience using various office skills and applying such skills in a way that increases the effectiveness of others.
