Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

As the accountant you will report to the accounting and consolidation lead of the C&A Europe group. The main focus of your function will be the A-Z accounting and administration of the Luxembourg-based treasury & holding entities of the C&A EU Group.

Your responsibilities at C&A:

• Maintain the trial balance by accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger
• Preparation and on-time submission of all tax returns, tax- and VAT declarations
• Preparation of the monthly management result reporting based on group instructions
• Preparation of the half-year and year-end IFRS reporting process for group consolidation purposes and the preparation of the statutory financial statements.
• Support accounting and consolidation lead on other group financial topics and projects such as:
  • Consolidation support (e.g. intercompany reconciliations)
  • Coordination of the accounting of Swiss group entities

What we expect of you:

• Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
• At lease 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment.
• Good knowledge and understanding of basis accounting practices, preferably of IFRS and Luxembourg GAAP as a plus.
• Understanding of complicated legal and accounting structures.
• Good understanding of MS office tools (e.g. excel, ppt, word)
• Experienced in working with ERP systems, knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Language skills : fluent in English an French
